PAMA Begins Search for New Spokesperson

PAMA's Leadership Selection Committee is developing a list of viable candidates and conducting preliminary interviews for a new spokesperson for PAMA and the aviation community.

Well qualified candidates will be mature professionals with public relations and presentation skills, adn will have experience working with both the media and other organizations in the aviation community.

Applicants must have a belief in PAMA's mission, vision and stratagic plan and be willing to support and represent these principals. Pama's staff, committees, councils and Board of Directors will support them in achieving these goals.

Only candidates who meet the qualifications for regular PAMA membership, such as A/P Mechanics and FCC certified Avionics Technicians will be considered.

A world leader in aerospace sheet metal fabrication, is seeking a dynamic Personable individual to fill our techincal sales manager position. This person will be responsible to identify/develope markets and coordiante through the development and delivery stages. A BS in engineering or equivilent related experience in the manufacturing field is required. National travel is a must

Essential duties and responsibilites include the following:

  • Will work closely with the Vice President of Sales/Marketing to identify market potential and market strategies, estimate potential sales, introduce market, distribution/channel issues, and manage mature product through phase-out.
  • Provides expertise in particular product area and develops strategies and applicable portions of the company business plan.
  • Plans, organizes, and coordinates assigned programs to ensure accomplishment of financial/budgetary goals and optimum allocation of resources.
  • coordinates program planning with customer to ensure identification of appropriate manufacturing schedules, goals, design criteria, costs, and similar considerations.
  • Serve as general customer service agent for the organization.
  • Communicates promises, or our intended delivery dates and quantities to the customer, on coordination with our production control department.
  • Conducts pre-contract liaison with customer and may participate in negotiating with key customers regarding contract terms and conditions.
  • Coordinates details of program within the organization with a wide range of functions and individuals.
  • Provides continuing product surveillance and management of established product to obtain financial objectives.
  • other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to manage local sales representatives at key customers. The candidate must maintain customer support system to ensure customer satisfaction, prepare, coordinates, and deliver customer presentations. Traveling is require.

Education and Experience

  • B.S. degree in Engineering or equivalent related experience in Manufacturing Field
  • Must have excellent organizational skills as well as communication skills.
  • Knowledge of aerospace industry is required.
  • Must be familiar with technical processes of sheet metal and their applications.
  • Prepare/coordinate/deliver customer presentations.
